With our state-of-the-art technology and by keeping up-to-date with current orthodontic treatment developments, we do everything we can to ensure the highest professional care for your teeth.
At Brace Place we use top quality materials and products and the latest techniques. Our staff are all committed to continuing professional development and undertake training. In addition we have high standards of infection control and use a washer disinfector as opposed to hand washing and autoclave to sterilise instruments.
CBCT x-ray and Digital Scanning
We have a CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) machine. It delivers clear 2D (panoramic x-rays, cephlometric x-rays) and 3D images from a single scan with one of the lowest radiation outputs and much less than a traditional series of lateral cephlometric, panoramic and full mouth periapicals and bitewings. We aim to keep the number of X-rays and radiation exposure times to an absolute minimum according to the latest guidelines.
In addition we have the latest technology for intra-oral scanners. Intra oral scanners allow us to take digital study models and digital scans (as opposed to taking the mould/impressions) to plan the treatment, start the simulation process for Invisalign or removable braces treatment, and to produce removable braces and retainers.
Ventilation and Infection Control
We have a ventilation system installed in each of the treatment rooms to take air in and out with the air changing every 15-20 minutes. We also have separate air conditioning units in each room to prevent cross infection and air mixing between clinical and non-clinical areas.
We have high standard of infection control and follow the latest cross-infection control sterilisation guidelines.We use a washer disinfector as opposed to hand washing and autoclave to sterilise instruments.
