If you have just had a brace fitted, please make sure your read the Fixed Braces Instructions or Removable Braces Instructions pages of this website so that you know what normal troubles to expect during the first few days of having your brace.

Thankfully, serious orthodontic emergencies are very uncommon; but there are times when you may have a problem.

Braces getting lost or damaged or becoming uncomfortable to wear

NHS Urgent Dental Care – please call NHS 111. Calls are free from landlines and mobiles.

Where possible, do not try an adjust your orthodontic appliances yourself, as this may damage them further.
